NEW Product Release!
In March 2016 Jewel Blade unveiled their New Retail Range of 9 & 18mm Snap-Off Knives at the International Hardware Fair in Cologne. These knives were designed with a multitude of industrial requirements in mind.
The K7200, K750 and K720 knives add to what is already an extensive Professional range of knives that Jewel Blade has to offer. Please see the Professional Knives and Scrapers brochure for more information.
So what are the key features of these new knives?
K7200: This 18mm Trimming Utility Knife is made from a robust ABS plastic and retains a lightweight feel in the hand. The handle has been ergonomically designed with a textured anti slip grip for a comfortable and safe feel. These factors contribute to reduced strain when using the knife for long periods. Both the precise auto-lock mechanism and stainless steel blade carrier ensures that the blade remains secure at all times when undertaking the hardest of cutting tasks. The retractable K7200 also offers a blade storage facility to safely store both new and used blades as well as providing a Snap off Tool for quick and efficient use. This knife is also supplied with 3 Jewel Blade XL Premium Silver IND201 18mm Snap Off Blades.
K750: This distinct knife has been designed using both an anti-slip notched grip pattern and finger stop for added stability, secure handling and comfort. The body and structures of this 18mm trimming knife are made from a robust yet lightweight ABS plastic for increased durability, with a stainless steel blade guide and ratcheted locking wheel mechanism ensuring that the blade is firmly secured in place at any length of extension providing you with complete control whilst in use. In addition the K750 also comes with an integrated multi-purpose safety tape cutter and loop holder to accommodate a spiral lanyard, belt clip or key chain.
K720: This 9mm Trimming Knife is made from a robust ABS plastic and retains a lightweight feel in hand, the handle has been ergonomically designed with a textured anti slip grip for a comfortable and safe feel. With its stainless steel blade channel working in conjunction with the slide and lock retractable locking system it enables fast and precise economical cutting. The K720 also features a pocket clip that doubles as a snap off tool for those 13 cutting segments.
These knives can be used in a diverse range of industries such as construction when cutting Insulation, Dry Wall, Roofing Materials, Flooring Materials, Window Film, Shrink Wrap, Acetates, Cardboard and more. They are also utilised within the Automotive Industry when trimming Rubber Seals, Mats and Leather as well as for use in the Decorating Trade on various materials including Paint, Wallpaper, Caulking and more. Furthermore, these Knives are also the ideal choice for those ad hoc DIY jobs.
In addition the K720 9mm knife is perfect for use in Electronics, Arts and Crafts where more control is required for those intricate cutting tasks such as cutting foam board, papercutting, jewellery, orologi replica svizzeri, and much more.
These knives have been designed to offer a range of different features to suit the individual’s preference and needs. All of the knives are clam packed on Jewel Branded Retail Hanging Cards and come complete with Jewel Blade’s innovative XL Premium Silver 9 and 18mm Snap Off Blades respectively.
The XL Premium Silver blades are designed, developed and manufactured in Sheffield England to the highest of industry standards using a high quality Premium 1.25% Carbon Steel which is utilised more commonly in the production of surgical blades. This superior steel can be heat treated to a higher tolerance increasing the hardness and consequently improving both the durability and performance of the blades. The XL Premium Silver with its polished finish and enhanced razor sharp cutting edge are designed to be longer lasting due to a decreased amount of blade drag with a higher slip factor when cutting through the toughest of materials, subsequently reducing both user handling and tool downtime ensuring a safer, more productive and cost effective blade.
